Environmental Compliance Manager - (Trust Lands Resource Specialist)
The Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration seeks a qualified candidate to manage environmental compliance and promote best environmental practices on state school trust lands. The Trust Lands Administration manages 3.5 million acres of land granted to Utah at statehood for the support of public education.
Job Responsibilities include inspection of leases and activities on state trust lands for compliance with federal and state environmental regulation; management of agency response to necessary environmental cleanups; coordination with law enforcement; and advice on best environmental practices in leasing and permitting decisions.
Job Requirements include demonstrated knowledge of federal and state environmental, health and safety laws and regulations; at least 3 years project experience in environmental consulting or regulatory administration; and college degree in environmental science, engineering, geology or related technical field. Strong business and quantitative skills are a plus. Salary range 52,978-75,400 per annum.
